I'm looking to switch back to Mac's.I may have the chance to purchase an Imac 600 DV with256mB of ram.It includes the necessary disks OS 9 and 10.2.Would this some what older system run the current 10.3.3 or even the next OS.Or would it be preferable to just stay with 10.2. I only surf the web, play music and email.Any advice would be most welcome.
Kind regards.

It'll run 10.3 very well, in fact faster than 10.2, I'd say the same will probably be true of 10.4.

The only thing I'd recommend is getting more RAM 256MB is pretty much the absolute minimum for running OS X, Aim for 512MB though even with 384MB you'd see a big improvement.

It will run 10.3 fine. It is odd, when Apple creates a new O/S it makes older computers seem faster, however when Microsoft creates a new O/S you need to buy a new top of the line system.
