It is not true. Before IOS 5, Apple inoduced the new IOS at special iPhone OS events, typically held in April.

Apple would then introduce the corresponding phone at WWDC.

Even though it's highly likely that apple will continue the format that they started last year, WWDC is NOT the usual place for IOS reveals.

...but one could say that, when they don't have a special iOS event in April, they usually introduce the new iOS at WWDC.

Apple will do whatever the hell Apple wants. They don't care about what they've done in the past. Ask any PPC owner, they'll tell you.

I'm pretty sure that this past year with all these changed dates, Apple just gave a big ole middle finger to everyone saying "Apple usually does this..."

Whateva... Whateva.... Apple does what they want!!! :p

Luckily, the past is not a prediction of the future.

I'm hoping to see iOS6 announced at WWDC.

    Usually ? Get real.

Apple has only introduced iPhone OS at Macworld. Which they don't attend anymore and IOS 5.0 at WWDC.

Usually implies that it has happened more than once. I think it's very likely that it will be introduced similarly to last year. It could also be something totally different. I'm tired of seeing people saying that its usually done that way when it's not though.
