An interesting piece published on POLTICO and compiled by iWatch News.

Top Barack Obama Donors Net Government Jobs

The article is five pages, so instead of cherry picking it, I'll post a paragraph or two that, IMO, present its thesis.

So much for change in this regard, eh?

As opposed to who, Republican toadies??

Senior management changes always herald putting people below you that are in your camp.

At a dance, you go home with the guy who brought/bought you. ;)

Why when a politician does something terribly, terribly wrong is it deemed a valid response to point out that some other guy did it too? Its WRONG. If you can't admit its wrong, don't respond. Pointing fingers doesn't make it less wrong.

Terribly, terribly?? Come on, don't over-sell it.

I guess you will be supplying us with links, to show why these appointments were wrong, and the inability of the selected to perform the duties of the job?

And no where did I say "he hit me first". You are imagining things.

I see nothing about the people appointed being ineffective, having flawed judgement, or are blundering idiots, etc.

Please, take my hand, and show me the way.

Well, I suppose being able to see the above mentioned traits would require one to have a functioning ethical and/ or moral compass.

I doubt a can of oil and Dorothy will do the trick in this case. ;)

Its not that they can't DO the job in specific cases. Its concept of "giving" high paying jobs and contracts to people who gave you money. Its bad in business to give a buddy a job without looking for the best candidate. Its worse in politics when the tax payers are paying the guy's salary, and its especially distasteful considering that campaign finance is so messed up it comes off as just buying yourself a cushy job.

All of the above is compound more so by the fact that it was a point of his campaign to reform how business was done in DC.

*I'm not criticizing Obama for continuing the practice, I'm criticizing him for continuing the practice despite his rhetoric on the campaign trail in 2008.

And naturally, you, and others of your ilk, would have a say in that determination?

Keep going, this is getting funnier by the minute.

Even the American public is not as naive as you feign to be.

"Plus ca change, plus c'est le meme chose."

It's politics. Why the manufactured shock?

Oh right, partisan politics time, again.

Of my ilk? Care to elaborate what my ilk is? Its funny that if you object to something, everyone just assumes you're on the OTHER side. Both sides of the aisle in this country are terrible. I'm not on either side, I hate them both (all).

Have people really not figured out the President is nothing but a mouthpiece for the major Corporations in the country? They always talk so much **** about their ideas and the direction they want to take the country in and then they get to Washington and are handed the "script" and put in front of a camera so the public feels validated when they go to the polls. It's a huge ****ing scam.

It's funny you think the nut jobs in the GOP stand a chance with them going after medicare (and you heard it here first) and the upcoming privatization attempt on social security.

    I doubt it.

I Googled 'gop privatize social security' and four or five of the hits date back to 2010 and there's an article that cites attempts dating back to 2005. The rest all seem to have a published date ranging from June 7th to 9th of this year.

I'm positive that if one did any real research, one could probably go back much, much further.

I meant the first measure introduced to the 112th congress. You can bet that if they pushed this hard for the anti-union and medicare stuff, they're really going to go against SS in earnest this time. I didn't mean this was the first time they went after SS, thats decades of battles right there. :p

Google "HR 2019", it's mister Session's new privatize SS act.
