Ok, so here's the deal.

I recently restared my laptop over (decided there was too much junk cluttering it, so did a clean wipe), and am now attempting to get bittorrent running again, and in doing so, I realized that yes, I could do something about my below average speeds.

The problem is, I don't know what, and for the life of me, I can't figure it out.

Ok, I've run through several different torrent clients tonight trying desperatly to figure out this port-opening business (reading everything you guys have in here), and it ain't working - and now my torrents aren't working at all!

So, I need to know the following.
1) A decent, simple torrent client that works on 10.3.9
2) How to open Ports, both in firewall and in my airport base.
3) How to get those ports to work, and how to know that they are, in fact, open.
4) How to get a ****ing decent speed on these things. I have a fast internet connection - I just can't get BT to USE it.

Can anybody help?

-edit-
PS: I'm now getting 'operation timed out' messages from my torrents, which tells me they are clearly not getting through (since I'm posting here just fine). I'm using tomato torrent right now, but if you can tell me a better one that'll work on 10.3.9, I'd love to use it.
