I'm contemplating getting the touchpad app for the iphone, is it worth it?
Logitech has a similar app called TouchMouse that is just the touch mouse and the keyboard, but requires an extra program for your computer.
TouchPad is nice though if you will definitely use the extra features compared to Logitech's free App. $4.99 is a little steep though for something Logitech's App plus Apple's remote App can already achieve.
Airmouse free is a lite version of a cool app, I recommend it
EDIT: I mean mobile mouse sorry http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mobile-mouse-lite-remote-trackpad/id356395556?mt=8
I think HippoRemote is the best one. Has a lot of different macros that you can use for different things. I use the Plex macro to control my HTPC when it's in play mode, and the regular Mac OSX macro set when I'm using it as a standard touchpad.
Worth is always highly subjective. We can't even begin to guess if it's worth it to you unless you define what would make such an app worth it or not worth it to you. What are you looking for? What are you expecting from the app? Don't assume that your sense of worth is universal.
+1. I use AirMouse as well and never had any issues with it. The devs are pretty good as far as updating the app and all so it's definitely worth it IMO.
I don't see AirMouse as a free app. Is that the right name? I see Mobile Mouse Lite out there. Is that a new name for it by chance?
oops I ment mobile mouse http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mobile-mouse-lite-remote-trackpad/id356395556?mt=8
I thought it was always air mouse. I use it all the time, it lags a little bit when I haven't used it for awhile.
The Logitech one is great. I have the server applet on all my machines.
+1 for the logitech app. When I used to connect my computer to my TV a lot it was really handy. Never let me down, could be used on mac/pc, plus it was free. It's really not a big deal to have that little program run on your computer.
