Tried ordering a 4s on apple.com to see what the pre-order process would be like...

    Ok so i tried to order an iPhone 4S on apple.com to see what the pre-order process would be like for the 5 and i tried clicking on "replace iphone with a new one" for existing customers and clicked on continue and it didnt let me. It didnt do anything. Do you think apple is activley not letting people purchase the 4s online because a new one is about to come out?

    Just try it again. I did that to see what the process would be like as well and a couple of times it wouldn't let me get past certain pages. Trying again a few minutes later resulted in it successfully loading.

    Why would they not let people buy their old stock? They want to get rid of it.
