I'm using a 2011 MacBook Air with 128 gb sad, and I wanted to clear up some photos and videos from a few years back.
Having found them through Photos, exported the videos as 720p video files onto an external hard drive and deleted them from photos (and from the recently deleted - so I got the message they were gone for good), I didn't seem to gain much space, if any. When I checked through the finder, in the iPhoto library (through pictures, and "show package contents"), many of the videos are still there, and taking up a lot of space.
Can anyone give me a clue as to why they're still there?
When I checked with the app Omnidisksweeper, in my Library I found a directory called com.apple.cloudphotosd which seems to have almost 6gb of data in it.
I don't want to manually delete anything I shouldn't be touching.

Thanks for your help !
