I have a LaCie 60Gb firewire external that I use to back up work and take home to use. My Work computer is a G4 running OS X and my home computer is a blue & white G3 running OS X, and occasionally i use it with an older iBook running OS9.

My problem is that the disk has stopped responding on all platforms. One day works a treat, next day plug it in and nothing! There is power going to it, but it doesn't show on the desktop. System profiler says there is no drive mounted on the firewire port and Norton & Disk Utility won't see it. All other external firewire drives show up with no trouble.

It seems like the disk is knackered! Does anyone know of any way I can get the data of the drive as there's quite a bit of stuff on it that I would hate too lose! Please help anyone!!!

    Thanx in advance
