You have to laugh when you have two liberal parties fighting it out and this is what you end up with. The NDP childishly blocks the conservative from moving past to cast his vote and then you cry like a baby when you get a small accidental nudge from the prime minister.

Trudeau then apologizes for the assault and is getting put on the grill by the media. Please tell me these people aren't running the country.

Seriously? We're calling a couple of guys standing around looking like they barely know where they're at "childishly blocking a conservative from moving past to cast his vote", cuz the other guy was bobbing around, instead of asking them to let him through, or walking 4 feet to the left to get around them?

Is this really what Western Democracy has been reduced to?

...and that woman "nearly killed"? Yeah, that annoyed "ow" she voiced shortly after her vicious assault really sold her plight.

"nearly kills a conservative safe space"... seriously, are conservatives THAT uneducated that they consider an (inadequate) confrontation like that as a "death threat"? Pathetic freaks.

Blame it on hyperbole in the OP's thread title. Every article I've seen on this from this morning never mentioned anything about "nearly kills". Perhaps the OP should get better sources than his own conclusions from a youtube video.

I think this thread, moreso than anything, shows us that politics is less about levelheaded people determining policy, and more about it turning into one great big reality TV show/gossip rag.

"Can you believe what Trudeau did to me? I was all like 'uh uh, bitch, I'm passin' dat bill. Then he gets all up in my face and flat out tells me off before punching me right in the chest. I ain't ever seen anything so rude before. He almost killed me."

It probably was supposed to be bait for "Thewap" or any other subscriber of life-saving-supplements-by-Alex-Jones :) .

That guy Mulcair is a clown, shouting down the Prime Minister for what was obviously an accident. No wonder he's sinking in the polls even further from his party's election result.

Walking four feet to the left or saying excuse me could have caused a catastrophic accident such as brushing someone's arm or offending a liberal with bad breath. The conservative probably didn't have time for the apology tour required which Trudeau is now on.

How does it feel to know that you've represented yourself as partisan to the extreme in two countries of residency now?

What a joke of a thread, and "controversy".

Great. Trump, our right wing and the media are turning government into championship wrestling, and now Canada is following our lead. Just wonderful.

The headline of this OP is like something out of The Onion.

"Then he threw her down and ripped her heart out while it was still beating."

Now that I think about it, politics would be more entertaining with chainsaws. More civil, too!

I remember in one of my government writing courses the instructor said "If you want to see a bunch of adults act like bratty school kids, all you have to do is sit in the gallery at the legislature." :)

In real Canadian terms the punishments should be:
    1. 2 minute minor PM Trudeau for elbowing
    2. 2 minute minor NDP for too many MP's on the floor
    3. (and if the Ref was feeling draconian) 2 minute minor to PC whip for delay of the game.

Just make the Capital Rotunda Thunderdome.

Obama v. McConnell, winner gets to decide what happens to Merrick B. Garland. Two men enter, one man leaves.

What, no! We need that cold air to keep from bursting into flames around here.

Man the American Libertarian and can see Trudeau didn't elbow her on purpose and is a much ado about nothing! Man I really hoped Canada could rise above this petty bickering about his apology!
