The desperate need to bash Trump, especially when it involves such minutiae, reveals how deeply liberals fear having anyone but Hypocritical Hillary at the top.

Then the Trump campaign and the manufacture are marketing illegally. It is literally illegal to put a "made in USA" tag on something that isn't.

It's not minutiae when A) It's illegal and B) A person builds their whole campaign around rah rah rah America make stuff here, only to be proven over and over again that it is all a scam, all a lie and that their stuff is made elsewhere. Hypocrisy of the highest order. But then conservatives are well known for that.

Don't see the problem. Assembled here is "made" in the USA just like most cars who are assembled here with parts from other countries

No..that is a different distinction. And a different label.

Made in means exactly that...made. Not assembled from other places.

Trump would be an idiot to pay more.

Thanks to globalisation slave labour is cheap in communist china.

You can thank Clinton for that.

The previous administrations got ripped off on trade deals. That's why it is cheaper to manufacture in china.

Trump always maintained that he gets good deals.

    Nothing hypocritical about it.

    How so....specifically?

And seriously how can you say Trump is not a hypocrite on a variety of issues when he reverses himself so often on positions? I just learned this morning that he is even vetting a pro-choice democrat for VP. Makes me wonder if people even know who or what they are voting for. Trump could pick that guy, have something happen to him, and Republicans could end up with a pro choice Democrat as President....from their own votes! How is that conservative?

If, by some strange quirk of fate, Trump did win, I wouldn't be surprised if he stood down pronto.

But then again, he has no intention of winning. His campaign is nothing more than brand-burnishing for "Trump". A chance to look relevant again.

    He'll cash-in later. It's what he does.

Of course he would. Why pay more when you can just lie?

Conservative motto, do as I say, not as I do. Proven again and again when conservatives are caught with their pants down in bathrooms soliciting the person in next stall. Self righteous hypocrisy is generally their hallmark. Right Roger Ailes?

Where do you think the vast majority of "made in USA" labels are made?

Plus he makes it soooooo easy. Just string two of his sentences separated by a couple hours together. Is like instant coffee. Two spoons full of trump quotes, stir, instant hypocrisy.

I have zero problem with companies producing outside the United States. We wouldn't have mass availability at the prices we have now if we produced everything here. I have a problem with politicians who claim they're gonna change that but don't walk the walk

I'm still not convinced that Trump actually wanted to be president and I wonder if his original plan wasn't to make the Republicans look so bad that Clinton would have an easy path. Now that he actually got the nomination and there is a chance, however slight, that he might win I could see him wanting to make sure that a Democrat gets in even if it has to be through a backdoor way by choosing one as VP and then stepping down after winning the election.

Can you imagine the egg on the GOP's face if that scenario occurred? Congratulations GOP, you voted for a pro-choice Democrat. RIP GOP 1854-2016. You had a good run.

It would be quite entertaining, if he does this though I'd be curious to see if the anti-Trump delegates try to derail his VP pick at the convention.

I wonder if it would be the other way around.

If the Anti-Trump delegates don't want Trump to win the general election, wouldn't they ultimately WANT him to be the worst qualified going into that election? If so, what better way to do that than bring in someone the polar opposite of Trump to ensure that he loses?

Yes, that would cause the party to further implode, but that gives them the chance to rebuild better and stronger. In short, destroy the walls of Jericho to build an impenetrable Asgard.

I am quite curious to see what the convention turns out to be regardless. It could be quite the s*** show.

No, because they still want to win the White House some way. Just not with Trump.

I tried searching for a ball cap(not a Trump hat) made in America, found one that said it was. When it was delivered the label said that it was "Cut and sewn" in the US, to me that is not made in America.

It's a ball cap. What more do you need to do by cut the pieces of fabric and sew them together?
