It may be a fool's errand but I'm just trying to understand the average Trump supporter. To be honest with you, I'm perplexed how someone could vote for Obama in 2008 and then run for office as a Tea party Conservative, work for the Ted Cruz campaign and then be the spokesperson for the Trump campaign. Perhaps the following quote best explains it.

I don't know if she's Trump's source but she is one of the alleged affairs.

Probably disillusioned by Ted Cruz who used to run as a "tea party" candidate with the help of the libertarians, then turned out to be an insider Bush operative - trojan horse.

And Cruz didn't even wear a flag pin on his lapel at the debate. Obviously he doesn't love our country. He should go back to where he's from. Ted-Cruz.jpg

Actually, I'm referring to the 180 degree shift in ideology where she goes from supporting the Democrats to supporting the extreme right wing of the Republican party. Given her upbringing on welfare and how she was able to "pull herself up from the bootstraps", most people are grateful for the existence of those type of programs and don't turn around and start supporting a political party who wants to abolish them. You do not benefit from a program such as welfare and unemployment which allowed you the opportunity to "pull yourself up" and then want to deny others that same opportunity. Maybe she feels ashamed of having grown up on public assistance and this is her way of trying to gain the approval of people in her new circles by advocating for their abolishment.

I doubt it.. she should be touted for getting out of public assistance rather than the liberal MO of keeping people on public assistance.

Well, I'm referring to her prior support for the Tea Party who is strongly against the concept of welfare and always trying to pass legislation to cut the program. She even ran for office as a Tea Party candidate herself in Texas.

Not sure why every discussion has to devolve into political talking points. I don't think anyone is trying to keep people on public assistance. Can we all agree that we need a safety net and we should have ancillary programs and incentives to get people off of public assistance?

    I agree.

Truth varies by belief and perceptions and obvious prejudices. What you may consider "truth" , I may consider social engineered belief. So your opinion on what your truth is , is as irrelevant to me, as mine is irrelevant to you.

Right. Opinion (pardon the pun) trumps truth.

Right..I won't even go to Hillary truth..that would take a whole book to write about, and Sanders?

How anyone can believe that such an economically inept person that made it a "career" protesting the rich because he was poor is beyond me... lol

Even more mind boggling is the socialist warrior voting class who would vote for Hillary if Bernie looses, while Hillary is a known war hawk, war neocon, Goldman Sachs backed crony globalist.
Now thats a special kind of genius.

The question I have is this:

How many republican voters are willing to repudiate long held republican party positions?

And how many republican party voters are pretty much ok with what the republican party has been saying for all these years?

In short, what's wromg with the CFR? What's wrong with the Republican Party elite?

This type of person clearly has no core values, no clear political goals and can see no a path ahead.

Basically, a person with no political education who is easily distracted by shiny objects, lost in the (metaphorical) woods.
