    Hypocrite says what?

    https://amp.usatoday.com/amp/2025945001

President Donald Trump insulted a protester's weight Thursday evening at his rally in Manchester, New Hampshire.

“That guy’s got a serious weight problem,” Trump said as several protesters were escorted out of the arena. "Go home. Start exercising."

    Also this...

Rally attendees also began booing at the protesters and chanting "USA!" Trump was interrupted by the protesters after criticizing Democrats for describing political opponents as "fascists and Nazis."

Seconds after criticizing the protester's weight, Trump went back to his remarks, immediately telling his supporters "our movement is built on love."

Why does trump have to go so low. It’s like when some members on this forum wish death on trump by using his weight/health to be the cause. Shame.

No it's worse. This is a forum of citizens. That doesn't excuse the behavior but it's a false equivalancy to compare what the POTUS says to what forum posters say.

To clarify, if you were to say such a thing to @Vanilla Ice in a forum post, does anyone think there would cries of not following forum rules?

If it's distasteful for forum decorum, is it any less distasteful as an attack by the president of the United States on a private citizen?

“criticizing Democrats for describing political opponents as ‘fascists and Nazis’” is not the same thing as “calling Democrats fascists and Nazis.”

    Do you disagree?

Very good point. But of course, nothing is excused in the eyes of those who hate the Trump. :) The man was always evil, racist, misogynistic, white supremacist lover, pedophile, ra.... ok ok I think we get it... ever since the man was born!

Sorry for being off topic earlier. So I'll make an attempt to contribute.

As an overweight fat aging man (33 yrs old)... this makes me sad. I'm pretty sensitive about my weight. I know I'm fat. I know I'm overweight. I'm working on it. I can do 13 min miles now, first time in many... years (3+)...

I think Trump isn't afraid to go low. What's funny is, it gives him far more attention to do so vs not. Ok, not very funny, but ironic is a better word? I think we all reward this behavior.

Does it matter when a man touches you? Anyway, I was poking fun at you because you'll sometimes post something very left field that softens the grating image you used to portray over a year ago.

You're 33? Still a kid. :p I dislike Trump. He doesn't fit the role of a good Republican leader. Most of them don't. He's still a closet racist and pervert. That Yang guy called him fat, though. We'll see how that plays out.

If you get you're fat and are doing something about it, I don't see why you should feel bad. If you ignore convention and keep eating yourself to death, then yeah you deserve the comment.

    Good on you!

Trump doesn’t get a free pass for using that language either. The same goes for many men and women that use vulgar language. When Trump calls anyone “fat” he’s no one to talk.

I too have noticed this change about a year ago. The avatar changed too. (Talking about Vanilla Ice).

Thanks for the kind words (not quoted). :p

Agreed, there's that saying right? "Never Wrestle with a Pig. You Both Get Dirty and the Pig Likes It" I think trump likes it (not calling him a pig, just the idea that he enjoys getting dirty).

See, you’re saying grabbing. I say if it makes someone feel uncomfortable, absolutely it’s wrong. Not too long ago, when Biden was being questioned by a female, she started walking away after he answered her question, he then grabbed her by the arm. That pissed her off as she has every right to be.

When it comes to Trump, I support him as my president. I will stick up for him on most issues, I however do not support him on a lot of things. His stance on gun control, telling representatives to go back to where they came from, and now calling a heckler fat. I don’t stand for it. I also do not believe he’s a true Republican but more of an independent lefty with a splash of Republican.

When people try to compare Trump to Reagan, I throw up in my mouth a little.

Trump? Yeah but more like with a splash of just plain ol' opportunism... it's what I've always said should make the GOP nervous about not having the House under Republican gavel any more. The risk of his cutting deals with Democrats to his own perceived benefit (never mind to theirs as well) at the expense of GOP policy talking points is huge and grows as re-election pressures on him grow.

Who knows. He could end up being like one of those old coots you read about in the Appalachian woods who live to be 107 and attribute their longevity to a big breffus of bacon and eggs plus a nightly hit on pure moonshine since age of 12.

The one thing we still have going for us as citizens facing this possibility is term limits on his job per the Constitution. To fix that would take more than just packing the federal judiciary.

To fix our hypocritical thing about some of us including Trump being pretty fat ourselves and not having a problem making fun of other obese people, I dunno. It's human nature I guess. It's the sort of thing lets people become serious alcoholics while fixated on the stereotype of "the Bowery bum in the gutter". And of course it plays into Americans' obsession with where is the line between acceptable comedy and political correctness. Where is that line when it comes to obesity, anyway?

This is why Trump can always make me laugh. He'll do stuff like this and also post two tweets that contradict each other in a span of like 20 minutes. I don't agree with much of his politics but man has his time in office been entertaining :p

Wait a minute... Trump made fun of somebody being overweight? Even if one accepts the dubious proportion that it is acceptable to comment on somebody's weight, those in glass houses should not throw stones.

(Edit: removed faked picture of Trump purportedly playing golf.)

If Trump had any class, he would admit his own problem, work on reducing his weight, and inspire people to do the same to accrue health benefits. But, alas, he has no class.

I eagerly await his legislation reducing sugar and high-energy content of food sold the US and his health initiative for fighting obesity.
