Looks like our oxygen deprived, power hungry orangutan finally found something he could do repeatedly without congress. He loves it so much that he’ll even do it for people who don’t need it! Love the new strategy: pandering via pardoning.

This gets back to something I noted in the discussion of his most recent pardon. He has cut the DOJ Office of the Pardon Attorney, which is responsible for evaluating the circumstances behind the relevant convictions and the basis for possible clemency, completely out of the process. If this one is anything like the last couple of pardons, some celebrity or Fox News hack suggested it to him and he thought it sounded like a good idea, without even bothering to look into it. And this idiot thinks he can just wing it in the meeting with Kim.

I hope next he offers to pardon American celebrity Jodie Foster for her role in the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan. Long overdue, long overdue.

Typically presidents issue most of their pardons at the end of their terms. Maybe Trump knows something is coming that we don't...

At a minimum, evidence for a personality disorder, at a maximum a mental disorder, along with a calculation to gain favor or distract. :(

Pardons are just political tools. I guess it also helps if you are a celebrity or connected.

Just heard he is talking about pardoning up to 3000 people.

I think he also needs to pardon Batman. He has been called a vigilantly for way too long.

I think we’re at a point now where even the most diehard conservatives need to acknowledge they elected a mentally defective moron.

I would vote for a mentally defective moron over Hillary Clinton any day!

And you’re the problem with America. Congrats.

You put party over country. Don’t you dare ever call yourself a patriot.

I would disagree with you on that being the wisest choice, but we did have two terrible candidates last time around, so I can somewhat understand it.

I have little faith in the Democrats being able to nominate someone that isn't on the extreme left so I hope that Trump gets primaried so we can have a decent option on the right instead of ending up with two terrible ones again.

Trump is obsessed with pardons now. He’s like a little kid who just got a new toy. He wants to pardon everyone now. And he’s such a simpleton he thinks solving the issues within the black community is having some NFL players give him names of people to pardon. As if pardoning a specific individual solves the underlying issues.

If trump gets primaried he’ll win the primary again.

White Christian conservatives haven’t been this hyper-tribal and dead set on destroying the United States since we freed their slaves.

Your statement "White Christian conservatives haven’t been this hyper-tribal and dead set on destroying the United States since we freed their slaves." just turns people who are in the middle away from you.

I disagree. They had 16 other candidates to choose from. They made their decision. That tells you everything you need to know about them. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

The vote was split and the party stupidly rigged their primaries to guarantee an early frontrunner would get the nomination before they found out who that early frontrunner was. If they hadn't had 16 candidates and instead had Trump, Cruz, and one of the mainstream candidates Trump's 1/3rd of the vote likely would not have been enough to put him over the top.

No, she was a moderate, but an overall terrible candidate.

People keep saying this, but usually their reasoning for her being terrible involves a conspiracy theory or two.

Nope, no conspiracy theories, just she had too much baggage. Some of that baggage was justified some was not, and as you say was based on conspiracy theories. Unfortunately even the baggage that wasn't justified still existed and as a result made her a terrible candidate.
