Trump panders to the NRA... of course.

Trump spoke before the NRA yesterday. Of course, he told the crowd how Hillary would take away their guns.

Anyone who has followed my posts over the years knows that I am definitely a "gun guy". I strongly believe in my right to own, and carry, my firearms, and have done so over the years.

However, while I do believe that Hillary would move to nominate SC justices who are not quite as friendly to the "individual right" interpretation of the 2nd Amendment, I simply cannot let this issue make me look to Trump as my savior.

I am hoping other firearms owners with a brain will come to the same conclusion.

I know... PRSI at its finest.

I just felt strongly enough about this to speak specifically about Trump appearing at the NRA.

What is surprising here? Trump is the republican nominee, of course he is going to be pro 2nd amendment.

Hillary would ban firearms if it were in her power to do so, luckily it's not.

NRA endorses man who supported Clinton assault weapon ban & Obama Newtown speech, & whose properties are gun-free zones.

I'd also like to know why the NRA works to restore felons gun rights while opposing giving them back the right to vote.

Well, for all of Trump's flaws, at least his tweets are better.
Hillary doesn't even understand how the Venn diagram works.

    But they're both adept liars.
In 2012, Trump tweeted "President Obama spoke for me and every American in his remarks in #Newton Conneticut"

Hillary will overturn the 2A and (insert GOP name here) will repeal Roe v Wade.

    Same old campaign rhetoric.

I don't think Hilary meant it was a Venn diagram...

The new Republican hero, glad he can do no wrong in your eyes. Can we all agree with him here?

This is exactly why I don't trust a word Trump says.

So many of his contradictions are a matter of public record, it's unlikely Hillary will need to say a word in any of her attack ads, all she'll need to do is quote him both in print and on TV. He's done far more damage to himself than Hillary could ever hope to.

Every new thread about Trump is further proof that Hussein has really damaged America.

I would love to understand what, if any, logic is behind that statement. In fact, I'd love to understand what that statement even means.

And by the way, I am FAR from being an Obama supporter.

anyone who supports the second amendment supports every word written in it. The moment key contextual words like "militia" and "well-regulated" are removed, the people doing that are doing nothing more than promoting the Constitution's destruction because they cannot tolerate the full context and words because it conflicts with their selfish agendas. But they came up with "free speech zones" and other ways to curtail the first amendment, and look at what they did to the 4th.

SADDAM HAS BEEN DEAD FOR YEARS AND BUSH STARTED THAT WAR BASED ON LIES, FOR WHICH HE EVEN SAID ON CAMERA WERE NOT TRUE ("imminent danger"). GET OVER IT.

And if you're slurring Obama by using his middle name out of context as a slur to reflect Saddam Hussein, well that's just as immature.

Not this dribble again, to form a militia you would require firearms as a prerequisite, it's meant to be a means of assembling against an enemy government or our own if needed and it's very clear.

    Taken in another context:

"A Bicycle club, being necessary to the establishment of a better environment, the right of the people to keep and bear bicycles, shall not be infringed."

Would you say your right to own a bicycle is a prerequisite to forming a bicycle club or something that you only are entitled to after joining?

Now now, Hillary's full of contradictions too.
It's pretty sad that Americans have chosen a reality TV personality, a communist and a potential criminal to become our next President.

Such polling means nothing when a President conspires with his speech writer to deal in secret with hard line Iranian Mullahs, replete with diabolically pre-planning social media scenarios as to which story will pull wool over both Dems and Republicans, then goes ahead with it.

I'm certain that poll takers did not bring that up, among other jaw-droppers.
