Luckily we have the Constitution on our side to prevent that kind of nonsense. And Im doubting that even mainstay Republicans are gung ho about a second term for Trump. Trump's base alone isn't enough to push him through a second time. Add the fact that many who vote Trump were voting anti-Clinton as opposed to pro-Trump. So really any ideas of Trump pushing beyond that is not a realistic view.

And if Trump keeps disrespecting our Military, he's going to lose their support too. Part of me wonders if Trump even wants to run again. The man does not take criticism well and I don't think he fully expected the backlash he gets, though it is well deserved. I could honestly see him turn down a second term and blame it on how he can't work within the restrictions of gov and will blame everyone else for not getting done what he wanted. Though that's prob more wishful thinking.

I don’t see how Trump can win in 2020 to be honest.
The GOP is not stupid. Plus it’s almost impossible as you will need to admend the constitution. Which requires damn near everybody in Washington to give the green light which is not going to happen.

He’s too old to try it. Putin etc were much younger when they took over.
But, Trumpolini has the best health! "Actually, his blood pressure, 110/65, and laboratory results were astonishingly excellent. His physical strength and stamina are extraordinary. [He's] the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency." He can live [to spew hatred] at least 100 years more!

Great news! Hillary Clinton is running in 2020.

As for "disrespecting our military", don't put too much stock in the words of Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling, CNN stooge. Feigning outrage is now his profession. Flag officers are swamp creatures, so it's unsurprising that most of them detest President Trump. He's very popular, however, with the hired help.

Don't assume that Dems want her too.

That doesn't actually disputes Trump's words and actions that shows a disrespect towards the Military.

I just turned on CNN and they're about to launch into some kind of BS about Trump "disrespecting the military" by making comments about Admiral McRaven. Pro Tip, CNN: Admiral McRaven is not in the military anymore. Trump is in a tiff with a civilian who formerly was in the military, who is talking **** about Trump. One suspects Trump wouldn't have had any problem with McRaven had McRaven simply shut up about Trump.

McRaven is entitled to his political opinions, but contra CNN, once a former military officer wades into politics, he is not immune to political criticism simply because of former military service regardless of its distinction or valor.

P.S. — Mark Hertling awarded himself the Bronze Star five times. Not one of them was for valor. He's got a chest full of geedunk awards, like the swamp creature he is. He beclowned himself on CNN trying to scam viewers about the "full semiautomatic" AR-15; apparently Hertling is not all that familiar with rifles.

Again

And no one claimed McRaven or Hertling wasn't immune to political criticism, no one is claiming that.

Easy peasy.. He will just have Eric, Don Jr or Ivanka run as a stand-in while winking and nodding to his base as to who's in charge. He needn't even move out of the White House then. Kind of like Putin-Medvedev...

Looks like we will have a new Netanyahu in power soon. Soon he will call his own elections at his own convenience and name himself as Defense Minister like his pal Netanyahu just did. Then he can run as many times as Erdogan and Netanyahu do. Trump the new Xi or Kim..? The sooner he gets impeached the better it is for America and other countries

No, he isn’t. For a Republican, this is basement levels of support among active-duty military:

Flag officers aren’t all swamp creatures. Only the very highest arent. They are much better educated however.

So once someone is no longer in the military, like John McCain, it's okay for bone spur Trump to trash his service and that's not disrespecting the military. And I suppose insulting and attacking Gold Star parents is not disrespecting the military, as is bragging about how his big risk during the Vietnam war was getting venereal disease.

Agreed, this is just a click-bait thread based on click-bait articles.

So, do tell, what changes would you make "so that people like Trump will never be able to run for POTUS again"?
