We don't know if he is actually racist or not, but we do know that he said many things that appeal to racists and make them like him. He may not be a racist, but we took a big risk that he might have meant what he said during the campaign.

At least he said something, where is Obama to calm the liberal rioters?

I am glad that trump said this. It was an important statement to make.

Being racist isn't specific to individuals though. For example, if I'm racist towards white people, would I pick and choose who I'm racist to or would I just include everyone? Probably the latter.

I'm not sure where I stand yet, but I'm starting to think he may not be AS racist as what msm showed us.

    Donald Trump, June 16, 2015

What did he think was going to happen?

If you are confused, it would suggest to me that you haven't been paying attention to what Donald J. Trump has been saying.

Maybe he was just dog whistling, albeit more overtly.

Someone told me the other day to" Go back where you came from", so I camped out in his back yard.

And? I agree with both those statements. However I do not wish harm on anyone.

If he truly has said this, it is commendable, and something that is long overdue.

Given the actual history of the US, attacks based on race, or the harassment of minorities - inevitably - will have a particular resonance, and a peculiar menace.

So, to see Mr Trump instructing his supporters to take this step is to be applauded.

He needed to say it. He needs to repeat it often and also on twitter.

The flip side is - at the same time he gave his interview, he brought Bannon on board. In this case, actions might just speak louder than words.

Yes. And Trump upon learning it didn't tweet something out or call a press conference either.

Good job Donnie. Now it's Obama's turn to tell the protestors not to block streets, highways and to. Ot damage other people's properties.

The current President could have said something when the rioting started as well.

And as I've said previously - he should.

However - I think the reality is - there are some who voted for Trump - who wouldn't give a crap about what Obama had to say and can't wait until he's out of the office. So it's likely that the message would be lost on them.

Okay so you lay the blame on Trump supporters. How about he address those rioting?

I am not pointing fingers at Trump supporters exclusively for the current state of unrest. I am saying that those in leadership positions and those transitioning into positions should be speaking out against what's going on.

And again - I said Obama should speak out.

he wasn't referencing ALL immigrants from Mexico. Please....Also, in terms of the Muslim Comments, you clearly lack the power of the media and how his style is to shock and awe and create buzz/controversy to garner support and clearly identify who is with him and who isn't. Then he backs down and goes after shoring up his supporters and working on building moderate supporters. It's a tactic straight from his past and proven successful.

You should have seen it. It actually surprised the way he did that.
He was asked about the alleged attacks on minorities, he started replying, then he said: "No. I am going to look directly at the camera." He tilted the head, looked at the camera, and as serious as anyone could be he said: "Stop it."
I think that he was very effective. Hopefully HRC and Sanders will do the same, it should help chill out things.
