This man's ego truly knows no bounds. Seriously shouldn't he get some real work done before launching a second term effort? And no, signing a few EO's and meeting with a few leaders isn't the kind of accomplishments that warrant a second term. Every president does those things. This is way premature. Geez...even employees are hired under a 90 day probation period before employers decide to keep them. Trump wants that validation in less than 30 without even doing anything yet.

He should at least wait until healthcare is sorted out, an infrastructure bill is passed and the wall is under construction before campaigning for a second term. This is rather ridiculous. Focus on your first term before holding your hand out for more, you narcissistic nincompoop.

If he is campaigning - he shouldn't be allowed to appoint any supreme court justices

You could make a horror movie out of this: "29 Days Later". Starring Donald Trump and a horde of mindless zombies.

Interesting how none of his defenders are rushing into this thread to defend this one. Is this a bridge too far for even them? :D

Exactly, the campaign has started we need to let the voters decide who they want to pick the next nominee.

Campaigning to stroke his fragile ego. It's pathetic.

At his age, it's just about the only thing he can stroke.

you think it's ridiculous because you're still expecting to see from him what you've always seen from others. at some point it will eventually click for the haters that he doesn't play with the same strategy as others.

No, I think it's ridiculous for someone (anyone) to campaign when he hasn't even been in the job a month.

So what you're saying is he's like that West guy at the Grammy's years ago? Does his own thing, a bit nutty? Gotcha.

I think Trump really wants to be Campaigner In Chief instead of Commander In Chief.

It's his safe space. Where he can shut out the world, go on his monologue, and be surrounded by people who treat him like a king. It's rather sad.

Whats the point. He won a landslide, nobody ever flipped that kind of victory in the second term elections and dems dont even have a candidate. Google search says Elizabeth Warren is the next candidate but she is straight up crazy calling herself an Indian.

I'm curious because I'd like to know. Did he officially starting his reelection campaign or is that just conjecture from the linked article?

What landslide? Trump won but it was no where near a landslide.

Well, Spicer is calling it a "campaign". If not for relelection, then what is Trump campaigning for only 29 days into his administration?

How quickly have former presidents filed to run again? Again, I don't know. Asking out of honestly.
    --- Post Merged, Feb 17, 2017 ---
I don't know; not for me to say. But it appears that the answer is "no"? Isn't the title of your thread a littttttlllle bit untrue? At this point Spicer (and indirectly, his readers) are just assuming.

Granted, it's par for the course for a president to run again. Everybody wants two terms. But it's unfair to take what's happening here (a rally) and immediately transform it into "Trump starting 2020 campaign! Unbelievable!"
