Military should be concerned with the ability to be lethal, not to satisfy some progressive agenda. If it affects that, it shouldn't be allowed.

Disgusting and the fact this "policy" was tweeted out vs an official statement.

Good. They offer no benefit to the United States Military. The Military role is to fight and win our Nations wars. Non-Deployable individuals take up space preventing fit Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors and Marines from being where they belong.

I don't see how alienating people from serving will boost morale to support.

I wonder if you realize how hateful or ignorant this comment is.

So anyone who is Transgendered is non-deployable. Why? Transgendered individuals aren't fit? Why?

I have my own beliefs on this stuff. However I am wondering what medical costs he is talking about.

Wow, it's hateful to support the objective of a military. If it affects the ability of the military to do its job, then it shouldn't be messed with. It's not a game. It's life or death.

If that's the case, then I agree that the military/government/taxpayers do not need to pay for that.

Just had a coworker walk in and tell me the above. I can only imagine the ********* this is going to cause in the media. Then again, Trump sneezing means he's the devil, hitler, going to kill us all, end humanity as we know it, his presidency is over for sure this time really not kidding seriously triple pinky swear cross fingers .........

Agreed with your post. Though to say anything is going to cause everyone to call you ignorant, hateful, etc... The US military is concerned with our safety and security. Get the strongest, best, etc....

    Agreed 100%.

Edit: Hah, ********* is censored :)

I believe in most cases they are not. Most of what I know comes second hand from current service members. Yes I said they don't belong. Notice I did not specify that only those individuals should not be but all non-deployables. I do not believe they are fit. Example of them not be fit is Bradley Manning.

Yep, military pays for it. I am sure there is a legal reason, but honestly I haven't researched the topic well enough to claim any understanding of the various issues on this topic.

There are already 4K transgendered individuals in the military. Will they be booted out?

If someone is post- any operation - then what tremendous costs are involved. What burden?

Fairly certain the ACLU will squash this immediately.

I don't see how forcing natural born women to shower with "women" with penises is good for morale.

Not sure how as the military is basically on its own legally wise. I admit that it would be a very interesting legal battle to observe.

I must order a 50lbs bag of popcorn.

You just described equality as the progressive agenda. Thanks!

That's you're conservative opinion serving you well. So, you are probably against gays in the military too?
