I'm pretty sure winning the election changed his priorities.
I suspect had he lost, he would have fought it in court.
The settlement has no admission of guilt.

The crappy part is the lawyers are the ones who will get most of it.
I know the San Diego lawyers aren't taking a cut, but I'm pretty sure the others are.

It didn't sound like that from the article. - but you could be right.

Under the deal negotiated by Trump's lawyers, Schneiderman, and the law firms that brought two separate class action lawsuits regarding Trump University in California, the president-elect will agree to pay $25 million to settle the matter.

Of that, $21 million will help reimburse those in the two California class action suits — many of whom were also part of the case brought by Schneiderman.

New York will get an additional $3 million to repay people who were not covered by the California lawsuits.

The judge still has to sign off on everything...

In other words, I've already got the brass ring, so sure, I'm guilty.

    Edit:typo

TV show? They'll be a Trump movie! But why watch it, we already experienced, and gotten a taste of the slow motion disaster sequence, waiting for the final impact. :p

The settlement is good for both the plaintiffs and the country.

He wasn't found guilty for anything so he must be innocent.

It's a civil case so there's no guilt or innocence. Feel free to try again.

My comment was more for the Hillary supporters than to Trump himself.

So trump was wrong when he said bill Clinton was admitting guilt when he settled the case against him?

Is it your contention that lawyers shouldn't be paid for their work?

The "cut" is their pay agreed upon by all parties beforehand. It's not wrong either.

This case wouldn't have been grounds for impeachment anyway.

Trump is on a roll with going against all the things he stated during his campaign.

More like, they had enough evidence to go to trial, but settled out of court. The evidence still stands, though.

Right that's what I am talking about. class action lawsuits let lawyers rake in huge fees while who they represent get almost nothing.

I can't imagine the problems of a president in court defending a ripoff.

On it's own - perhaps. But losing a huge fraud case could start a downward spiral into investigating other areas of his businesses.
