    So food-for-thought:

Trump will be just the 3rd (modern) President to announce his VP at the GOP Convention (after Reagan and GHW Bush)...it could be a genius stroke. All the momentum coming into the General Election, and the talking heads will spend a bunch of time talking about Trumps VP and what it means to the direction of the Trump Campaign, versus ofcusing on whatever inanities he's spouting any given week. That said, the standing record for this move is only 1-for-2, so it could be nothing. Feel free to posit potential nominees...(and yes, pro-trumpers - have your fun).

(PS. no link, as I didn't think it necessary.)

It was said today on the news that Chris Christie was being vetted.

But that leads me to a question to ask conservatives....would you be okay with that choice? Because it seems like conservatives have given Christie a lot of flak over the years.

I think evangelicals need to get used to the idea that their extreme views are no longer welcomed, so RINOS is all that will be pushed. the old guard is on it's way out.

i actually might die of laughter if the mcdonalds fetcher is picked as a VP nomination. somehow though, it wouldn't be as much of a circus as it is with the brexit people. what a time to be alive

Though there's nothing of substance to back it up - Carly Fiorina would make an interesting choice - as would Rubio...

Does it matter? In the end, people on both sides always go with whatever dreck their party picks for them.

I, as a "free-thinking" lemming, decide to run towards that cliff with visions of hope and possibility. Why not, if we all just fall of the cliff anyway?

I don't think that's entirely true. I think Palin caused McCain to lose some Republican votes. I know my neighbor tore off her name on his yard sign. He just couldn't stand to have her on there. :D

oh, a side note: I would pay attention to Trumps nominee - in my mind, if he wins, they have a very plausible shot of being the President in the next few years. I think Trump is very likely to get himself impeached - Both parties don't like him, a sizable amount of the population doesn't either, and I don't see him as one for following "rules"...

I you listen to him speak, it is clear he doesn't understand the powers of the office.

    But what about my question?

No conservative here (so far) is saying they would be okay with Christie as VP. I find that interesting.

How would anybody "end the wars in the Middle East"?

We could order every American soldier east of Gibraltar to come home tomorrow - and they'd still be fighting in Syria and Libya. Pakistan and Afghanistan. And pretty every other ******** you can think of.

We have got to get over this strange idea that every bad thing that happens in those places is caused by the insane bloodlust of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
