Please like everyone else does, please provide a source for your claim that Congress controls the presidents travel budget or did at one time.

None of those things reference a budget made by congress for the president's travels. It does mention how they had to bolster budgets for other agencies involved with the president's security while traveling. Such as the presidential protection service which limits the Secret Service budget. What your article about Mar a Lago posits is if congress could fashion a law. They tried doing an end around by limiting the services involved, but as you other articles point out, other services like local end up picking up the slack. You reference as if there is a travel budget that Congress can use to limit the president himself, not the services provided. So if 45 wants to travel mid week, the services are obligated to protect him that is their job. It doesn't stop him directly he can still go, and expect someone to pick up the slack anyway screw the cost. The article itself doesn't even address if Congress could directly stop his traveling.

For ex presidents your article does refer to a total budget which includes pension, support staff, travel and more. Not quite the same thing.

What is the direct law that limits the travel of the president as you've claimed?

Let's raise their taxes, specifically identify it as a Mar-a-lago tax and see if they start caring. Would be a fun experiment.

I actually don't mind him going to his Virginia club for a few hours as it's got to be a heck of a lot cheaper than going to Florida for a weekend. I challenge him to stay closer to home like this and actually save the taxpayers money. Of course he is hypocritical for complaints about Obama's golf outings when he has numerous outings of his own. Obama at least had the decency to wait until April of his first year before hitting the links. Not Trump though!! He already has racked up 13 visits!

So much for not having time to golf! Utter hypocrite.

The real fun is the fact that Fox News has to cover for him golfing & lie. :p Even they know there's an issue with all this.
