Ive been using webmail for my email (SquirrelMail and Roundcube) but wanted to use Mail.app for my home computer to check my email and the webmail for when at work or school (that dont have access to a portable system and mail.app)
(The host supports both POP3 and IMAP)
However I seem to be running into some issues trying to configure this to work properly with the server settings.
I set my Mail.app for IMAP, while i can receive messages, sending them and removing them seem to be where im having a confusing time trying to tie them to the proper folder.
Anyways, apparently Mail.app likes to create all these extra folders in SquirellMail and Roundcube:
"AppleMail To Do"
"Sent Messages"
"Deleted Messages"
And basically messages I send, go into "Sent Messages"; which is the "Sent" folder in Mail.app but "Sent Messages" folder in SquirrelMail
and Deleted messages in Mail.app go into the Trash in the app, but appear in "Deleted Messages" on the webmail side.
is there way to consolidate all these into just one folder and the proper trash and sent folder?
since it wont let me purge or empty the messages out of "Deleted Messages" on the webmail side or in Mail.app.

I tried setting up this same email account with an iPod touch and it seems to work exactly the way it should with that.
Basically that all the sent messages i send on my iPod Touch go into the SENT folder of my iPodTouch Mail app and also the Sent folder in my webmail; basically it works with the folders already on the server and doesnt add additional folders like Mail.app in OSX does.
thats what im trying to configure so its alittle bit more easier to manage my mail...
