meeting with the "enemy" , IIRC there was a reason why Trump was not supposed to go to Cuba for example.

I bet that she was a special envoy for the President. When they met they probably discussed this trip, and it is a clear message that things have changed. It is obviously related to the fact that the US were not invited to the Syrian peace conference in Astana a couple of days ago.
By sending a (good) Democrat and someone without an office, Gabbard's visit was not that official.

This lady is the only Democrat who could beat Trump in 2020. Too bad they probably will pull a Debbie and won't let her win.

From everything I've read about her, she's one of the rare moments of moderation, bipartisanship, and sanity in our government. I really do hope she runs for POTUS at some point.

I'm pretty sure the problem with Trump doing business in Cuba had to do with the embargo which wouldn't affect Syria.

She is definitely one of the best politicians we have. I don't care if she has a D next to her name. She is G-O-O-D.

I imagine Gabbard would be sidelined by the DNC.

I'd throw my support to her even if she is a Democrat. Plus First Woman President of the US so win-win. :D :D :D
