I reside the UK and so far, I haven't seen a live version of the new TV App that is coming this year to the Apple TV or iOS 11.

I currently have a shared iTunes library and use a number of Apple TV devices throughout the house to access this via the "Computers" App on each Apple TV.

As the TV App will effectively replace the "Computers" App, will I still be able to access my shared iTunes library through the TV App?

No TV app in uk as the content providers like sky, itv etc etc haven’t signed up to it yet. Doubt they will either as sky and bbc have their own apps to watch on the go

I could be wrong but I think the way it works is that the TV app just pulls the content from those apps so if an app already exists that may be a good thing.

I can imagine Sky charging something extortionate (as per) for the option though.

Sorry, I am not sure if my question has been misunderstood.

The App is coming to the Apple TV in the UK later this year, as announced by Apple at the latest Keynote.

I understand that some providers may not sign up to provide their services through the App, however as the App effectively aggregates all content from other existing Apple TV Apps, the likes of Sky, BBC etc may end up on the App by default - they have to offer TV Apps first however and Sky, BBC etc don't currently.

My question, however relates to my shared iTunes library and if I am able to still access this through the new TV App, perhaps our American friends can assist with this one as they have had it for a while?

itv Hub have confirmed that they will be on the TV app in the UK but later this year, and I bet it will probably coincide with the Amazon Instant Video app on the Apple TV.

As far as I'm aware this feature is not removed although I don't know if it's integrated into the TV App or remains as the computer app. The Apple TVs original purpose was as a local media streamer, I can't believe they'd remove this.

iPlayer is on the Apple TV, but they seem reticent to allow their content in someone else's app (cf Sky Q/Go). I imagine that ITV/Channel 4/Channel 5 will be on board. If that's all the content there is, it'll be a damp squib.
