Why do “TV Shows” that are “high complexity” and “high bitrate and resolution meant for TV” show up on my list of items that can be synced to my iPhone, when they clearly will not sync or play on the device?

Is there some detail that I can change in the files metadata or other means that will not allow them to show up on the list of TV Shows able to sync to the iPhone?

This is very annoying when iTunes shows the user a checkbox that a show can be synced, but does not follow through or warn the user that the files have any issues with syncing? Even if it grayed out the box and made it uncheckable would be nice.

    Any fixes for this issue?
    Anybody else have this problem?

Also is there a way to automate the conversion of a file to be put on a device such as a iPhone, and then when the file is used for syncing to the device/watched it could be deleted from the machine, keeping only the single larger file for use later?

    TIA

you could use handbrake to resize the file to the iphone's specs. I really don't know why they don't allow HD video on the iphone. I hate having to have two digital copies of movies, one for the HTPC Mini and one for the Iphone.
