Hopefully Twitter goes bankrupt soon, I may not agree with their views, but censorship is infinitely more insidious than online trolls. With all of their BS SJW crap they may as well pack up and move to North Korea now.

Twitter is a private company, they can and have an obligation to censor hate speech.

Censorship? So Twitter shouldn't be allowed to operate their business as they see fit? Conservatives are confusing.

Fist of all I'm not conservative, and yes Twitter can operate their business how they see fit, but with their profound distate for freedom of speech they would probably feel more at home in North Korea.

The right don't even hide the fact that they are trolling. I think it comes as a second nature to them.

Trump is the one that wants to end free speech.

I didn't know Twitter had the power of the state behind them or the ability to make speech illegal.

That's silly. Are you suggesting that only right-wingers troll on Twitter?

Trump won't let Twitter fail. It's his favorite social network.

Trump should be the ultimate troll and pass legislation that would require all social networks starting with a "T" and ending with letter "R" to permaban all SJWs and feminist accounts. :)

"Censorship!" is often the response of a trolling culture anywhere on social media when some process is enabled that permits users to choose not to see certain material while they are logged in.

Censorship is an absolutist type of thing. Twitter has not got there yet. Opposing views still abound there. If a few people choose to filter out some of the obscenity-laced observations commonly enough found on Twitter, that behavior will not even make a dent in the din. After all, the new filters are optional and they merely permit beauty to reappear in the eye of the beholder: the posts so filtered are available to anyone else and to the sender if he cares to admire his handiwork.

Of course here in PRSI there are no trolls, so some members may be surprised I even know anything of trolling culture. Hint: I also do hang out on twitter... and by the way, the trolls there don't seem to be suffering. A few are pointed out and ridiculed from time to time, perhaps. Here we don't ridicule people although we may laugh at their posts sometimes. I of course don't mind if you laugh at this one.

Twitter is about as uncensored as you can get. I can swear like a sailor and nobody cares. Now if I started throwing around hate or derogatory speech that would be a different question.

The problem with those alt right people is that most of their hate speech isn't even true but just a way to insight fear in others.

Censorship, my ass. They're banning people who continually violate their TOS. Some of the MSM may normalize their neanderthal behavior but Twitter doesn't have to and should have done this years ago.
