If things weren’t bad enough with the presidential election, now we are asked to re-think our summer travel plans. Obviously, the U.S. government has little faith in Europe's ability or even their willingness to thwart terrorist plots. Europe has thrown-up their hands and surrendered, accepting the occasional atrocity as a fair price for their open borders and multicultural society.

Same old nonsense since Bush. Blah blah blah. No one says to re-think travel plans, just stay alert. Blah, blah.

I think they do this almost every summer now, including last summer.

I was in London in April. Felt safer than many cities in the U.S.

Looks pretty similar to their worldwide travel alert that has been standard since 9/11. The US state department is about the most overly cautious group out there and gives warnings well before there is much of any sign of danger.
