Thanks for feedback in advance!
If your a student you can do the Apple Developer Connection. It costs $99 but gives you a significant discount once in a lifetime to purchase a mac. It used to be about 20%.
EDIT* Found a better website
Thanks for this, I called the ADC number for the UK the guy didnt know how much the discount was for a purchase. He suggested calling the Apple store
From what I remember from previous discussions, although a Mac bought through the ADC is cheaper than the HE Store, for three years warranty you need to buy AppleCare on top - as you get a three-year parts and labour warranty for free with the HE Store, once AppleCare is factored in, the ADC saving isn't so great.
In further reference to this, Just called the Apple store and they had no idea bout the ADC program and suggested calling the business store...
Thanks, Yeah Im thinking of purchasing the Apple Care at a later stage through a 3rd party
Ok just spoke to someone from the apple store who said that the HE discount is better than the ACD, she said it was 10% but not sure if I believed what she was saying, Can anyone who has the ADC membership confirm the price of an i5 iMac with the ACD price?
I knew I had read about it somewhere. It's from 2007 but I doubt it has changed that much. I'm thinking of doing it before I leave uni this at the end of this year.
i think so i got 14% through my sister at edinburgh uni
I believe i got 10percent i was happy with that
