UK Minister apologises for WMD intelligence

    So we have the first apology - LINK

    This reminds me of tactics employed by criminals in court. Admit to a lesser crime and hope that will deflect probing into more serious allegations.

    Hell, I don't want an apology for faulty intelligence (though some of it appears to have been wrong). I want an apology for doctoring the intelligence and, more importantly, the judgements made (probably before the "intelligence" was even compiled) which led to the invasion.

    Some more misdirection:

    Nobody is asking him to appologise for Saddam. We want an appology for misleading parliament and the country, and taking us to war on false information.
