Nice find, 32 quid cheaper than Amazon. If i had the money spare I'd be mighty tempted. At least I know they will continue to drop and I'd love to jump aboard the SSD bullettrain soon.

Very very tempted to buy one now but I may wait till Mountain Lion is released. I have about 5 years of installed-but-unused programs and other cruft on my mid-2009 macbook, so when Mountain Lion comes out, it's time for a new install to go with the new SSD.

Want to get SSD right now though :)

Scan is backordered to July 25th.

Several other websites are backordered too. Currently available from:

    £150 inc delivery
    http://www.ebuyer.com/318423-samsung-256gb-830-series-ssd-kit-mz-7pc256n-eu7

    £146 plus around £5 delivery

Would you guys know if it makes a difference which size to order? I know that most Optibay alternatives prefer 9mm SSDs ? Does it matter if you put a 7,5mm in them?
    thanks in advance!

I'm no expert, but I don't think it makes a difference. The connectors are definitely in the same place, and the mount holes should be in the same place for both sizes.

That linky is selling it for around £200 ??

The samsung ssd comes with a 2.5mm plastic spacer if you buy the 'laptop kit'.This allows it to fit into regular 9.5mm bays.

Great to see how quickly prices are falling now. I currently have 2x1Tb hard drives, and I'm guessing that there will be 1Tb SSDs available for that kind of price within a year or so. :)
