I have a mac mini dual core intel. i want to run bootcamp, so i tried to update the firmware. got the latest version, my computer told me i was up to date., bootcamp says you need to update. after reading on line, i went to get the april 17 update, which is the magical fix advocated on many a forum. well, when i tried to load that, i was told my computer did not need it. still, bootcamp won't run, telling me i need to update. every firmware update i try i am told my computer does not need it. in the system profiler i am told the following:
Boot ROM Version: MM11.0047.B00
SMC Version: 1.3f4
i know that is the latest SMC, but not eht latest boot ROm, yet i can't update the bootROM, which is supposed to be updated by the april 17th firmware update, which my computer claims it doesn't need. this is driving me crazy as the whole reaosn i bought this computer was to run OS X and windows!
