Unlocked iPhone 4 with Gevey

Hi,

I have a iPhone 4 AT&T 32GB unlocked with gevey, anything works great. I bought this on eBay, was brand new and I don't have AT&T SIM card.

When I plug in iTunes asking me to register, if I do what will happen? Will be locked? Will I need AT&T sim?

If for any reason in future will need to restore, will iPhone locked, and impossible to unlock with gevey?
