    Hello,
I have a verizon iphone 4S. Right after my college was over I was planning on getting it unlocked but a family emergency came up and I had to come back to India and couldnt get it unlocked.

I am currently using it with a Gevey but the problem is there are so many things that work with a hit or miss. iMessage thinks I still have the US phone number...

    Any suggestions?

I dont have a account with them anymore... I transferred the line to a friend to avoid ETF fees.

Have your friend activate the phone back on this line, call support, unlock it, transfer it off.

I am still in a different nation. Will they activate the phone while I am still abroad?

I've seen somewhere about unlock Verizon about by IMEI, that was costing more than $100 as I remember.

If you need a response in 48 minutes or less then a discussion forum site isn't the right place to ask.
