Hi,

I have Caldigit TS3+, Macbook Pro M1 Max, Apple Studio Display and Nec MultiSync PA271W-BK-SV 27-Inch with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels connected to Caldigit TS3+ using Displayport 1.2 cable.

Only way it seems possible to run dual monitor setup is to plug Apple Studio Display thunderbolt cable on one TB slot in the Macbook Pro and the Caldigit using another TB slot.

I didn't want to have anything short out so didn't plug Caldigit into the Studio Display.

Is there anyway I can have just one thunderbolt cable plugged into my laptop fpor multiple display?

Or do I need to upgrade to TS4 to do this? Just don't want to pay $300+ for convenience of one cable instead of two.

Did you try connecting Apple Studio Display into CalDigit TS3+ downstream Thunderbolt port?

Nothing is going to short out. Why would you think that? USB-C and Thunderbolt use USB Power Delivery spec. They communicate with each other before trying to use or send power.

I was thinking of connecting TS3+ cable I connect to computer to Apple Display Studio T4 port. Will this be better?

Thanks. Your suggestion worked.
