iPod touch Update won't download

I've tried restarting my computer and it still won't wokr.

Probably because of all the traffic Apple is getting from people downloading the update.

Just wait a couple hours and you'll be able to buy/download it. It's not going to kill you if you wait.

The obvious guess would be that the iTunes Servers are currently crashing/crashed. Think about it, millions downloading 3.1, Apple still making changes to iTunes Store and then they are probably making changes to their servers right now. Give it a few hours to die down.

now it gets an error about halfway through the download
