How to fix this? I updated my iPhone to iOS 15 and my Watch to WatchOS 8, and now Calendar complications in various watch faces simply don't work. It worked fine in iOS 14.8 / WatchOS 7.

I've tried rebooting the iPhone, rebooting the Watch, unpairing and re-pairing the Watch with restoring from backup and no dice.
I've also tried General --> Reset --> Reset Sync Data and that doesn't seem to do anything at all.

This is very frustrating. Any ideas?

Obvious question but have you looked at the calendar settings within the watch app on your phone to see if the calendar you want is actually selected ?

Good thought but yup, I have it set to mirror the phone. I also tried manually deselecting it and reselecting it, but still no joy.

Is power saving mode turned on on the iPhone? Do the specific calendar entries show in the iPhone calendar?

Power saving mode was not turned on, and yes the calendar entries are actually there. They just didn't show up in the complication.

However, several hours later, it just started working. I didn't do anything. The event just showed up. Weird.

Same for me, very annoying. Since watchOS 8, there are a couple of syncing issues for me including music playing.
I restarted both iPhone and Watch and now after 10 minutes it seems as if the calendar is syncing.

Unfortunately it feels a little unreliable.
