Curious to hear what people are doing with their gen 1 watches (for those upgrading)? I was considering selling mine but then I was like, well what band do I sell with it and do people really want the band I've worn on my body for months? That's a little different than a phone.

I ultimately decided to gift it to my sister who can't really afford one right now.

What are others doing?

Selling mine through the classifieds at work. Have someone buying it on Monday. $200 for 42mm Sport in silver w/ 2 Apple bands.

She said she's been wanting one for a while, just wanted to see what the new one was going to have before she bought. Apparently Apple didn't wow her. :)

Going to feel weird not wearing one for 5 days...

I've sold my AW sport, and preordered a series 1 for launch day. However I'm now wondering if I should have reserved a series 2.

I don't need GPS but I read that the S1P is still made on a 28nm process whereas the S2 is made on a 14nm process. That could seriously help battery life or processor speed.

They are using the same chip. Where did you read otherwise?

While I think the actual CPU chip is probably the same the overall system in package chip (SiP) is different since the Seres 1 uses a S1P chip.

Sold my Sport last week (and SS about 6 months before that). Still undecided which (if any) Series 2 I'll upgrade to. I'd like to see how the screens and speed fare in real world tests next week.

Using AppleCare+ to get a "new" one, putting it in the original packaging and gifting it to my olderly mother for xmas in hopes it helps her move and stand a little more throughout the day.

Not sure on using AppleCare for this, but fair play for giving it to your mother to improve her activity! :)

I'm using AppleCare+ to get her a new looking one because the current one is all scratched up. I'll pay the $69 for a "new" one

Is it stainless or aluminum? If it's stainless, you could get a polishing cloth and buff the scratches away. :)

Posted on FB this morning that I would soon have a watch and a 6+ for sale. By lunch, both were spoken for.

Selling watch without band for $300... I like all my bands and want to keep them. The friend who is buying it has her eyes on a new black/gray nylon band.

If I were to get a Series 2 watch, then the only way for me to justify the cost, would be to sell what I have.

The issue, though is, what does the Series 2 give me and is it worth the hassle of trying sell my current watch and of course getting less money then I thought I should get for it.

I'm keeping mine as it is stainless black and I bought it when you had to buy it with the Stainless bracelet and I'm not going to give up my first gen box that had the stainless bracelet on the box and everything. It was so expensive then, I'd lose a fortune on it.
