My wife is on ATT and decided that the 16GB is lacking in space and would like to replace it with a 32/64GB. She got the phone when it came out so she can't exchange it. Will I have any issue if I bought a 32/64GB iphone from ebay and sold my 16GB? Is it simply a matter of swapping sim cards? thanks.

Back her phone up to iTunes first. Then swap the SIM cards, then restore from the backup. Everything should be fine.

Just be sure you're buying an AT&T version of the phone. Although the hardware is the same it's possible you could buy a phone locked to another carrier if you don't ask the right questions.
