Upgrading to 3.0 - will jailbreak data be lost?

I'm thinking of getting the 3.0 update soon(right now I have 2.1), and would like to jailbreak it(again). I'm just wondering, will my jailbreak apps(like Gps phone, mytube, etc.) and settings(winterboard themes, utilities) be erased? Basically, if I "upgrade" to a 3.0 jailbreak, will I have to reinstall everything?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that you can use something to sync your JB apps(I don't think it was open ssh) - is that true, is there an alternate method?

all cydia based apps will be lost, however upgrading will leave small things like numeric battery/wifi intact.
