I just got a new 20" iMac 2.4ghz and am using AE 6.5 Pro. Since it's running in Rosseta I notice only a slight difference than using my G4 Quicksilver. How much of an increase in performance can I expect upgrading to AE CS3?

pretty substantial... I would say it would be a lot more important than the jump in Photoshop since AE is so much more CPU intensive.

I don't have any benchmarks, but they'll probably pop up soon since AE just started shipping about a month ago.

AE CS3 is pretty sweet. I downloaded an "unlimited" trial ;) until I manage to get around to upgrading the copy of AE5.5 I have sitting on the shelf behind me. :D

I would highly recommend getting more ram.. that 1GB you've got is the absolute bare minimum.

If I were you I'd max it out and get it over with.. it'll be worth every penny.
