Hey guys I have a stupid bug lately where imessage at the bottom says Uploading Messages to iCloud Constantly. When I open my phone, my iPhone 12 Pro Lags opening text messages. If I click a text, it doesn't open until a couple of seconds later. Is this currently Normal? Is a Bug Fix On the way?

Anyone have any solutions?

This problem started happening for me in iOS 14.4.2 Never had the issue before that version. Hopefully, it is fixed in 14.5.

It seems whenever I need to send an urgent text, it happens at that exact moment and I need to wait 15-25 seconds before Messages unfreezes so I can type my text! :-(

I am experiencing the exact same issue. Anyone found a solution to this? It’s really annoying.

Not to worry folks! The Apple Senior Advisor I spoke to assured me this was not an issue because if it was, they would have heard about it before it ever affected a customer, because they talk to millions of customers an hour. If you're experiencing this issue, the only troubleshooting Apple can offer is to erase and re-install iOS. If that doesn't resolve the issue, they'll submit an RTA to Engineering and after 48 hours, you'll receive notice that Apple's Official Position on the Matter is to keep your iOS up to date.

i have been experiencing this too and came across this thread. Is there a solution yet?

Has anyone tried disabling messages in the cloud, then reactivating it? I forget what version but I had this on an older XS and toggling the feature off, opening imessage app, then turning the feature back on solved it. It is very possible to be a client-side bug or glitch but I would assume that it is more of a server-side issue than an individual phone.
