Wow, what is the BBC thinking? Why ask the Iraqis what they think? What do they know? Cheney has this all figured out, especially what is good for them.

Read the link about the US building a new base right near the Iran border. Are they going to also put up a neon sign, "Al Queda, please rocket this base from the Iran side, and give us a reason to further escalate this morass? The American people might just be stupid enough to buy this. We actually did the same thing in Vietnam. We continually bombed the Ho Chi Minh trail into Laos and Cambodia. That gave us provocation to send in troops to search for weapons caches (was there actually). Please listen: there is no way that putting a single base along the Iran border can make any impact on any alleged weapon movement. The only thing it can do is offer a spark to set-off a reason to attack Iran. Do not fall for this BS. The WH is looking for ANY reason to attack Iran. If you want to let your imagine run free, they also want a reason to declare a national emergency and declare martial law. That includes suspending elections. I know many of you do not want to face such a possibility. But, ask yourself, are the friggin idiots really above it?

They have deceived us at every point. They have killed tens of thousands of people to achieve their goals. These are not the goals approved by our elected congress, approved by the Supreme Court. But most importantly, they are not what the majority of the American people want. They have killed all these people for THEIR agenda. That should scare the hell out of us. They have established a complete distain for the hopes, dreams, aspirations, and sanctity of life for the common man; whether they are American or Iraqi. They will sacrifice a forward base to justify the Invasion of Iran. And, they will be willing to drop the bomb that does it.

I read an article that said 100% of the Iraqis surveyed said the surge wasn't making things any better. 100%! If that doesn't tell us something, I don't know what will.

B...B...But General Petraeus would never lie to us! He's talented and has honor! Sorry, no big surprise here. We need to leave. Then we need to get rid of this administration.

Bush's big thing last week about Abu Risha and Anbar province appears to already be unravelling

    Abu Risha assassinated

It was noted that Abu Risha was looking decidedly unhappy about appearing in this photo opportunity with Bush. I guess we now know why.

Yeah, that didn't take long. But not to fear, Bush will go on TV tonight and tell us that Things Are Improving in Iraq.
