A few weeks ago I noticed my battery life got significantly worse. I went into the settings and it turns out that my usage time was exactly the same as my standby time. I looked for explanations or fixes and tried everything. Eventually it was a complete reset that did it. But since today the problem's recurred. Since I couldn't find a recent thread about this issue I thought I'd make one, maybe someone has the same problem and found a fix. BTW I am using a 4S on iOS 5.1.

Happened to me once. I went to the Apple store and they told me the usual "try to restore it as a new device" fix.

    It worked.

I wish they actually knew more about iOS and its problems though instead of just telling you to start over. Especially considering how they used to mock Windows and how cluttered it became over time and how their users had to constantly reformat and reinstall the OS to get it working well again.
