I unknowingly bought a 2003 Apple HD Cinema Display yesterday from eBay to use with my Windows Laptop, unaware that I had no way to directly hook my PC up to it. I was however aware that you needed an adapter (ADC to DVI adapter) as well so I bought that too.

The problem is that I don't have a computer that can directly connect to a DVI Port, so does anyone know if there a way I can use the HDMI Output on my laptop + an HDMI --> DVI-D adapter (which apparently are easy to find) and then use the ADC to DVI adapter to connect it all together?

There's really not too much info on the web about using an HDMI port adapter with one of these displays, so it's sort of a hard question considering I don't think too many people use these old displays. But hey; I bought everything for the price of A NEW MONITOR, so I can't really complain.

The ADC to DVI adapter is DVI-I on its DVI end, I believe. So it'll work with a DVI-D source from the HDMI to DVI-D adapter, since DVI-I plugs/ports are compatible with DVI-I, DVI-D and DVI-A variations.
