iPod touch Use iPod as audio input device?

I'm hoping there's a simple cable or something for this-is it possible to hook the iPod Touch up to your computer in a way that would allow GarageBand to recognize it as an input device? I'm interested in going the way of Gary Go and making a few songs with my iPod, but I don't know how to.
