Using Mac as Player Piano

All -- I am a new mac user, and as I was poking around GarageBand, it got me wondering if there was a way to use the mac (garageband or other app) as a controller for my electronic piano (old Korg).

I had a very old 5.25" sequencer that I used to tap out sheet music into and play it back to hear how I should be playing it. Very time consuming, but it sounded great.

Thanks for your help/advice!
