Using Macbook Pro as a desktop, best to leave plugged in or let drain and recharge??

    I would like to keep my battery in good shape for as long as possible.

    My mid '12 stays plugged in 95% of the time and health is 97%with 51 cycles......

    If you're planning on using a MBP as a desktop and haven't bought one yet, then I would seriously consider an iMac instead.

    That said, you should put a regular charge cycle through your MBP.

    at least 2 a month.

    its fine to leave it plugged in most of the time but I would take it off at least once a month to drain the battery down before plugging it back in.
