I want to build myself a gaming PC but don't want another LCD on my desk (nor can I afford another LCD). Is there any way that I can use my iMacs LCD screen for the PC's monitor?

Any help would be appreciated,
Chris.

Not really without using a remote desktop style app, which would probably slow you down a lot. You're probably going to have to spring for a CRT or used LCD or something... i can't think of a good way to do this without cutting up the iMac (even then it's probably a proprietary connector)...

No one has done it but you can remove the metal bewteen the LCD and that has all of the wires, it would still be hard switching from mac/pc because (duh) both of them can't send signals at the same time...

It would take alot of work and effort.
