    Hello,

Through some Googling I've found out that Hong Kong does, indeed, have a mixed cell system like the US so I should be able to use my Verizon iPhone 6 while traveling. I'd prefer to buy a separate SIM while I'm there (more data, more features for much cheaper, and I'd rather have a completely new number so I'm not getting telemarketer calls and a bunch of unwanted group texts), but can't for the life of me figure out which SIM that I should get that will work with my CDMA phone. Has anyone had any experience with this situation before? I'm assuming that I can't just buy any old SIM and expect it to work in my phone, correct?

    Thank you!

The iPhone 6 isn't really a CDMA phone, it's just as much of a GSM phone as well--basically the same version of the phone is used for AT&T and T-Mobile, for example, as for Verizon.

I had gotten a new iphone 6 verizon in 11/2014 and took it to europe and asia 2 weeks ago. Before leaving called verizon and they states that you can use any sim card that fits and it will work. When i tried it, it didn't work and it was a pain. Found out at a local store in asia that it was still locked. When i came back tried to call verizon and let them know but they wouldn't listen. They kept on repeating that it was unlocked. They wouldn't listen or didn't even help me resolve the issues.
