Maybe it's just my town, but nobody I've asked in Ocean County is able to make calls or use data on Verizon. Couldn't find anymore info. Just this area?

This is pretty interesting, considering that it is in similar areas along the Jersey shore that Verizon has claimed their cell service to be very reliable. So reliable, in fact, that they want to foist it on residents there instead of repairing their landline network that was damaged by Hurricane Sandy.

Guess this kinda pokes holes in that claim.

MichaelSD: Do you have a link for this outage info?

all i know is that in Philly, VZW's 3G has gone to absolute crap. i used to get 1.5Mbps+ down and for the last 6 months i've been getting no more than half of that. they are clearly trying to push everyone to LTE in hopes they get off unlimited.

i didn't fall for that trick and i bought my iPhone 5 on eBay on iOS 6.1.2 so i could jailbreak it and have unlimited LTE tethering as well
